Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 11 June 2026. By browsing Hangah, signing in with Gmail, buying, selling, creating a store, listing items, paying for Premium Store, messaging sellers, submitting reports, leaving reviews, using support, or interacting with Hangah content, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Hangah operates an official store and also hosts independent community sellers.
Hangah may remove unsafe listings, block suspicious actions, refuse misleading content, suspend accounts, cancel abusive store access, review disputes, and protect buyers, sellers, payment flows, and the Hangah brand when these terms are broken.
Users must sign in with a real Google/Gmail account. You are responsible for the Google account used on Hangah and for keeping your profile information accurate.
A new user starts as a customer account. Customers can browse, save wishlist items, buy products, message sellers, contact support, and manage orders without creating a seller store.
A user becomes a seller only after creating a store. Hangah may require store name, handle, logo, description, location, payout/MoMo details, seller approval, and ongoing compliance with these terms.
Hangah may approve, reject, suspend, reactivate, verify, or remove seller accounts and stores. Verification, influencer status, or Premium status does not guarantee item quality or seller performance.
Every listing must describe the real item being sold and include an honest title, price in Ghana cedis, department, category, size, color, condition, photos, and seller details where required.
Basic Store is free and includes a seller profile, store page, standard visibility, and up to 10 active listings. Once a Basic Store reaches 10 active listings, new listings are blocked until space is available or the seller upgrades.
Premium Store is a paid subscription that may include a Premium badge, priority visibility, promotional opportunities, and up to 50 active listings. Once a Premium Store reaches 50 active listings, additional listings are blocked.
The current Premium Store subscription is GHc150 per month unless Hangah communicates a different plan. Premium fees are paid directly to Hangah and may be activated only after successful payment confirmation.
Hangah Official products, home page posts, banners, stories, campaigns, and official content are controlled by Hangah admin. Community seller stores appear separately and must not impersonate Hangah Official.
Counterfeit goods, stolen goods, unsafe items, illegal products, fake designer items, misleading photos, offensive content, and items that violate law or payment provider rules are not allowed.
Buyers and sellers must communicate respectfully. Fraud, harassment, threats, spam, abusive messages, fake orders, fake reviews, payment manipulation, or attempts to bypass Hangah safety checks are prohibited.
Hangah checkout uses Paystack or another approved payment provider. A payment is treated as valid only when Hangah receives a successful confirmation, webhook, or verification from the payment provider.
For community seller sales, Hangah may keep a 10% platform commission and route the remaining 90% to the seller where Paystack subaccounts, transfers, and seller payout details are correctly configured.
If a cart contains items from multiple sellers, Hangah may split the order by seller. Hangah's 10% commission applies separately to each seller's portion, and each seller payout depends on that seller's valid payout setup.
Sellers must provide accurate MoMo or payout details. If payout information is wrong, unverified, incomplete, blocked by Paystack, or rejected by Hangah, payouts may be delayed, paused, corrected, or cancelled.
Payment processing, subaccounts, split payments, transfers, refunds, and payment disputes may also be subject to Paystack rules, risk checks, verification requirements, transaction fees, and availability in Ghana.
After payment, an order may move through statuses such as pending, paid, delivered, completed, disputed, refund requested, refunded, or cancelled. Sellers should not treat an order as payable until payment is confirmed.
Sellers are responsible for honest delivery timelines, pickup arrangements, item handover, packaging, and communication. Buyers must provide accurate delivery or pickup information and respond to seller/admin messages.
Refunds may be reviewed when an item is unavailable, not delivered, materially different from the listing, counterfeit, damaged beyond the disclosed condition, or affected by payment/provider failure. Hangah may process full or partial refunds where appropriate.
Users may report fake items, wrong items received, sellers not responding, counterfeit items, payment issues, order problems, account issues, or technical issues. Hangah may contact buyers or sellers and take safety action.
Only buyers with a completed purchase may leave a verified review. Payment alone does not unlock review access. Each completed transaction may receive one review, and Hangah may remove abusive, fake, or misleading reviews.
Wishlist, vouchers, featured stores, featured products, banners, campaigns, email campaigns, and push notifications may be offered, changed, paused, limited, or removed by Hangah at any time.
Users keep ownership of photos, text, profile details, store content, listings, and comments they upload, but grant Hangah permission to display, resize, store, moderate, promote, and use that content inside Hangah services.
Buyer and seller messages are linked to products and support issues. Hangah may review, block, restrict, or remove messages if needed for safety, support, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Hangah admins may manage users, sellers, stores, listings, orders, Premium subscriptions, reports, disputes, support tickets, marketing, notifications, roles, refunds, and platform safety from the admin dashboard.
Hangah may suspend accounts, sellers, stores, listings, Premium status, messages, payouts, or admin access for rule violations, safety risk, payment abuse, serious reports, fake content, or legal concerns. Reactivation is not guaranteed.
Except for Hangah Official products, Hangah provides the marketplace platform and is not the seller of community-listed items. Sellers remain responsible for item authenticity, condition, availability, delivery, and customer communication.
Hangah may review listings and sellers, but does not automatically guarantee the authenticity, quality, availability, legality, fit, delivery speed, or final condition of items sold by community sellers.
Hangah may collect and process account, store, listing, order, payment, support, message, review, report, notification, and security data as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed to operate the marketplace.
Hangah may use Firebase security rules, server-side functions, rate limits, admin review, payment verification, account checks, and technical logs to prevent abuse, fraud, scraping, spam, and unauthorized access.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hangah is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost sales, reputational harm, buyer-seller disputes, third-party payment issues, seller mistakes, or content uploaded by users.
If a user breaks the law, uploads content they do not own, sells prohibited goods, misuses payments, provides false payout details, or causes claims against Hangah, that user agrees to cover related losses, costs, claims, and complaints.
Hangah may update these terms when features, fees, listing limits, payment rules, safety needs, or laws change. These terms are intended to be interpreted under the applicable laws of Ghana.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Hangah collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when people browse the marketplace, sign in with Gmail, buy items, create seller stores, list products, use Premium Store, message sellers, contact support, report problems, or interact with Hangah content. This policy is written with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) principles in mind.
Hangah uses personal information only to operate the marketplace, keep accounts and transactions safe, support buyers and sellers, prevent abuse, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations. Hangah does not sell personal data as a product.
Hangah is responsible for deciding how marketplace data is used for the website, admin dashboard, accounts, stores, listings, orders, support, reports, messages, marketing, notifications, and safety tools. Privacy requests can be sent to hangahofficial@gmail.com or 0537755611.
This policy applies to visitors, buyers, sellers, Premium Store sellers, people who contact support, people who report listings or disputes, and admins who use Hangah operational tools.
Hangah uses Firebase Authentication and Google sign-in to create real accounts. Hangah may collect your name, Gmail address, profile photo, username, user ID, sign-in status, account role, country or location details you provide, and account activity needed to run the service.
Sellers may provide a store name, handle, logo, bio, location, seller profile, product categories, listing limits, Premium Store status, verification status, and store performance data. Some store details are public because buyers need them to shop and message sellers.
Product titles, descriptions, prices, photos, departments, categories, sizes, colors, conditions, seller handles, ratings, reviews, public posts, likes, comments, and selected promotional content may be visible to other users on Hangah.
Hangah collects order references, cart details, item prices, seller IDs, buyer IDs, payment status, refund status, dispute status, Premium Store subscription status, and Paystack transaction metadata. Hangah does not store full card details. Paystack processes payment information under its own secure payment systems.
Sellers may submit payout setup details such as MoMo network, account name, phone number, Paystack subaccount code, recipient code, and payout status. Hangah keeps payout details private, masks sensitive numbers where possible, and uses them only for seller verification, subaccounts, transfers, refunds, and marketplace accounting.
Hangah may store buyer-seller messages, support tickets, replies, assignments, reports, disputes, item complaints, safety notes, and admin actions. Admins may review this information when needed for support, fraud prevention, safety, order issues, or legal compliance.
Hangah may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, timestamps, page actions, error logs, rate limit records, security events, and notification tokens to protect the site, detect abuse, debug problems, and improve performance.
Hangah may use cookies, local storage, and similar browser tools for login state, cart and wishlist features, theme preference, pending checkout, security, analytics, and a smoother browsing experience. Users can control some storage through browser settings, but certain features may stop working if storage is blocked.
Data is used to create accounts, display stores, publish listings, run checkout, process Premium Store payments, calculate seller payouts, send emails or push notifications, manage support, moderate unsafe content, prevent fraud, enforce limits, improve features, and meet legal or tax obligations.
Hangah processes data when it is needed to provide marketplace services, perform a transaction, respond to user requests, protect legitimate business and safety interests, comply with legal duties, prevent fraud, or when the user has given consent.
Hangah may share necessary data with trusted providers such as Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, hosting, database, storage, functions, analytics, and messaging; Paystack for payments, subaccounts, transfers, refunds, and verification; email providers for transactional emails; and support, security, or analytics tools.
Hangah may share data with admins, support staff, payment partners, professional advisers, law enforcement, regulators, courts, or a future business owner where necessary for operations, safety, legal claims, compliance, investigations, or a lawful business transfer.
The Hangah admin dashboard may show user profiles, seller applications, listings, orders, Premium Store records, support tickets, reports, disputes, messages, email notification logs, marketing tools, and role permissions. Admin access must be used only for marketplace operations, safety, support, and legal purposes.
Hangah uses HTTPS, Firebase security rules, authenticated accounts, admin-only areas, server-side Cloud Functions, rate limiting, private secrets, restricted database writes, and other reasonable safeguards. No online service is perfectly secure, so users should protect their Google accounts and report suspicious activity.
Hangah keeps personal data only for as long as needed for accounts, listings, transactions, refunds, disputes, support, safety, accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, and audit records. Some records may be retained after account closure where the law or marketplace safety requires it.
Users may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, or objection to processing where allowed by law. Users may also withdraw consent for optional marketing or push notifications. Some records cannot be deleted immediately if they are needed for orders, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal duties.
Hangah may send account, order, seller, Premium Store, support, security, and service emails. Marketing emails or push notifications may be sent when permitted. Users can turn off device push permissions or contact Hangah for help with optional messaging.
Hangah is not intended for children who cannot legally use marketplace services. Users under 16 should not create an account or sell items without a parent or guardian. Hangah may remove accounts that appear unsafe, fake, abusive, or legally restricted.
Hangah may use service providers that store or process data outside Ghana. Hangah selects providers needed to operate the marketplace and expects them to protect data using appropriate technical and organizational measures.
Users can contact Hangah with privacy concerns and may also use remedies available under applicable data protection law. Hangah may update this policy when features, laws, payment systems, Firebase services, or business operations change. The latest version will be posted on Hangah.
